Welcome to 2009 VAF Conference Registration! Registration rates are given below.

Regular registration is through May 1, 2009. After May 1, late registration will be available at an additional fee (indicated below).

Welcome to 2009 VAF Conference Registration! We encourage you to register early, as the tours fill up quickly. Registration at the annual VAF Conference is required of all attendees, and due to cost considerations, no tours can be offered without paid registration. To keep the registration costs down, we are offering fewer catered meals than at previous conferences. There are dozens of great restaurants and eateries in Butte with very affordable prices; a list will be included in your packets. All catered meals will offer a vegetarian choice.

Registration includes

  • VAF Butte & SW Montana Guidebook
  • Conference tote bag
  • Wednesday reception (hors d'oeuvres and drink ticket), keynote speaker, and transportation
  • Saturday paper sessions and transportation

In addition to registration, the Ticketed events are

  • Thursday, June 11: Butte Day offers approximately 27 accessible properties, shuttle transportation on a circular route with designated stops, concurrent evening receptions at three historic locations that include hors d'oeuvres and drink ticket, and transportation to/from the hotels.
  • Friday, June 12: SE Tour or NW Tour. Each offers an all-day experience with numerous accessible properties, transportation, lunch, snacks, and dinner. Each Friday tour is limited to 95, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. When one tour is full, registrants will be automatically enrolled in the other tour unless both are full. For the NW tour, we are offering two simultaneous mini-tours during the day, also on a first-come, first-served basis. If interested, please select one. The sub-tours are FULL, but the NW tour (minus the sub-tours) is still available. Tour descriptions
  • Saturday, June 13: Banquet offers a delicious dinner, drink ticket, transportation, awards ceremony, and musical entertainment.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. You may also phone in your registration information to Montana State University conference services at (406) 994-3333. Registration will not be processed without payment. Please be prepared to provide the following information along with your payment information: last name, first name, organization, address, city, state, country, postal code, daytime phone, email, if you are an active VAF member, vegetarian?, and if this will be your first VAF conference. Your email address is NOT shared, unless you allow it to be included in the roster of conference attendees. Otherwise, it is simply used for emailing your registration confirmation.

NEW: This year's VAF Guidebook will also be available as downloadable PDFs two weeks prior to the conference as an opportunity to read the essays, study the maps, and get a preview of the tours we have planned for you.

Presenters

Conference presenters must register for the conference by April 10, 2009.

Cancellation and refund policy

Early registration refunds will be made for written cancellations received up to May 1, 2009, less a $30 processing fee. After that date no refunds will be made. Please direct questions about payments or refunds to MSU Conference Services at (406) 994-3333.
